For many aspirants, Class 11th is considered the best time because during these two years, along with the class subjects, you can go hand and hand with JEE syllabus. So, by the time you complete your Class XII, it will be much easier to go full focus on JEE.
Follow These 6 Tips For Preparing IIT JEE From Class 11th.
- You must understand the complete syllabus for JEE
You must first get hold of JEE syllabus and make a list of all the topics you need to study. You must go through all the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and pick out all the important topics related to JEE syllabus. It includes topics from your Class 11th and 12th, and that is why most aspirants find Class 11 the best time to start preparing. The syllabus for JEE Main and JEE advanced are almost similar for both exams so you need not prepare separately for them.
- Finding the right books and materials to study is imperative.
There are various places online where you can get books for your preparation such as JEE preparation books, or you may look for any institution that provides good coaching for JEE. In a Coaching institution, you will receive good study materials for your preparation. Or, you can combine both your online knowledge and coaching classes. NCERT books are also highly recommended for JEE preparations so you may want to get hold of them.
- Prepare yourself with a study timetable and try to follow it strictly.
You may have the best study materials in hand, but if you don’t study them properly, it is of no use. That is why it is imperative that you start planning a study time so that you study every day. But keep in mind that you should follow your study timetable strictly.
Do not plan it too tight that it will exhaust you and you find yourself skipping it. Instead, plan it in such a way that it will not be too exhausting for you to follow it every day. Before you start studying every day, make sure you clear your thoughts of all distractions and pay full attention to your books. Instead of sitting for long hours looking at your books with your thoughts somewhere else, a few hours with full concentration is much better. Most importantly, be determined and consistent in your studies. Avoid skipping as much as you can so that your study will become a habit.
- Eat healthy, exercise, and rest well during your entire preparation years.
We understand how serious your JEE exam is, but so is your health! As much as you invest in your studies, make sure you invest in your health as well. Try to eat healthy foods every day and avoid foods that might bring discomfort to your body at all costs. Because even a little discomfort in your body is going to affect your concentration in your studies.
Try to engage yourself in light exercise daily- it will help you clear your mind and keep your body active and healthy. Also, do not forget to take a good rest after a thorough study session. Try to take good rest in between your study and at night. Try to sleep at least eight hours at night so that your body will get enough rest to function well the next day!
- Conduct self-mock tests frequently!
Conducting a self-test will help you identify where you stand in your studies. Try to test your knowledge every week so that you may know where you need to improve and where your strength is. Also, frequent revision will help you memorize your studies for a longer period of time. Try to join a mock test conducted online or by any institution at least twice or thrice a year to help you get familiar with exam patterns.
- Join a coach for systematic and guided preparation.
Joining a coaching class is recommended at the start of class 11 to help you prepare for your JEE. In a coaching class, you can acquire many important study materials for JEE. You can also get your doubts cleared and learn various study methods for various topics. When you join a coaching class, try to get the most from it by being regular and attentive in class. Never hesitate to ask questions and approach your teachers with any problems.
I sincerely hope that the above points will help you in your preparation for IIT JEE and I wish you the very best in your preparation.
