JEE Mains 2024 : The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2024 exam in two sessions: January and April. The JEE Mains 2024 exam dates are as follows:
- Session 1: January 24 to February 1, 2024
- Session 2: April 1 to 15, 2024
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains is one of the most important exams for students who aspire to pursue a career in engineering or architecture. The exam is conducted twice a year, in January and April, and is used for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture programs at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other central and state government-funded universities.
JEE Mains 2024 Application Form
The JEE Mains 2024 application form will be released online on the official NTA website in November 2023. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam will need to register online and fill out the application form.
To register for the JEE Mains 2024 exam, candidates will need to create an account on the official NTA website and provide their personal information, academic qualifications, and other relevant details. Candidates will also need to upload scanned copies of their passport size photograph, signature, Class 12 mark sheet, and category certificate (if applicable).
JEE Mains 2024 Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the JEE Mains 2024 exam, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (45% for SC, ST, and OBC-NCL candidates). Candidates must also be born on or after October 1, 2002.
JEE Mains 2024 Exam Pattern
The JEE Mains 2024 exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) divided into three sections:
- Section 1: Physics and Mathematics (30 questions each)
- Section 2: Chemistry (30 questions)
- Section 3: General Aptitude (20 questions)
The General Aptitude section includes English and Logical Reasoning.
Each question in the JEE Mains 2024 exam will carry four marks. There is negative marking for incorrect answers. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
