Major Changes in JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria
This year the National Testing Agency (NTA) has implemented a condition for admission at IITs, NITs, and CFTIs.
All the candidates who want to appear for JEE (Main) 2023 examination must secure 75% marks and for reserved categories (SC, ST) candidates must secure 65% marks to get their desired admission in all the 23 Indian Institue of Information Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other Centrally funded technologies Institutions (CFTIs). All admission to the IITs, NIT, and CFTIs is given after JoSAA & CSAB counseling.
The NTA implemented the condition of Class 12 marks requirement just like the pre-covid rule. The education minister gave relaxation in 2020 for JEE admission by removing the 75% marking category due to the closure of schools during the pandemic. Now after everything is settled the board announced again the class 12 marks requirement.
