Nobel Prize in Physics 2022: "Entangled states"
The three scientists who won the Nobel prize in Physics 2022 are, Alain Aspect, Universite Paris-Saclay, and Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France,
John F. Clauser, J.F. Clauser & Assoc., Walnut Creek, CA, USA, and Anton Zeilinger, University of Vienna, Austria 2022 by The Royal Swedish Academy for development of “The entangled States“ where they experiment with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science.
This discovery of entangled states is groundbreaking for quantum mechanics research and its applications. The entangled states describe how two or more particles exist in the same quantum mechanics and behave like one unit.
The Chair of the Nobel Committee for Physics says in the Nobel prize press release:” It has become increasingly clear that a new kind of quantum technology is emerging. We can see that the laureates’ work with entangled states is of great importance, even beyond the fundamental questions about the interpretation of quantum mechanics“
What is Entangled States?
The Entangles state is a phenomenon in quantum mechanics when two or a group of particles react or share the same dimensional presence in such a way where that each particle act like one unit in the quantum state. Watch the refer video for an easy understanding of quantum entanglement.
